Accessibility Statement

SPANISH-RIVIERA FLIPS SL wants thedailybrave.org to be usable by as many people as possible, whatever tools they browse with. This statement describes what we have done, what we have tested, and what we know still falls short.

Standard we work to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Our current assessment is that the site is partially conformant: most content meets the guidelines, and the exceptions listed below are known and being tracked. We do not claim full conformance, and no automated tool or overlay is treated as proof of accessibility.

What we have done

• The page is written in semantic HTML with one h1 and a logical heading order, landmarks for navigation, main content and footer, and a "Skip to content" link as the first focusable element.
• Every link and button can be reached and operated with the keyboard, and shows a visible focus outline on both the dark and the light sections.
• The mobile menu is a real button with its expanded state announced to screen readers, and it closes with the Escape key. Without JavaScript the menu simply stays open.
• Text colours were measured against their backgrounds and meet at least 4.5:1 for body text; decorative gold lines and ornaments carry no information.
• Text can be resized to 200% and the page can be viewed at 320 pixels wide without horizontal scrolling or loss of content.
• The only animation is a short fade on the opening screen, which is switched off when your system asks for reduced motion. Nothing flashes, auto-plays or moves on scroll.
• Images carry descriptive alternative text; purely decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
• The language of the page is declared as English, and the text direction as left-to-right.

Known limitations

• Section labels set in small capitals with wide letter-spacing (for example "How it works") are harder to read for some people. They are kept at a minimum of 15 pixels and always duplicated by a larger heading directly below.
• The site has not yet been tested with every combination of screen reader and browser. We have tested keyboard navigation and automated checks; a full screen-reader review with real users is still to be done.
• The book itself is a printed product and is not covered by this statement.

How we tested

Before the current version was published we ran automated checks (axe-core) on desktop and mobile layouts, tested keyboard navigation and focus order by hand, measured colour contrast for every text colour in the design system, and checked text zoom at 200% and a 320-pixel viewport. The date of the most recent check is the date at the top of this statement.
